- DAMP BARRIER PAINT - A highly advanced styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), liquid applied membrane paint. This water-based compound can be applied to damp concrete floor slabs, screeds and walls. Suitable for extensions, basements and cellars. Isolates damp substrates for new floor finishes including carpets and laminated flooring. The membrane dries to form a tough semi-gloss finish.
- USED BY PROFESSIONALS - Rempro damp proof paint can be used as a primary waterproofing barrier on new build basements before installing Ultra GEO membrane and land drain, respectively. This is a quick-drying paint that typically dries in 1 hour. In addition, damp Proofing paint is non-toxic, non-hazardous, solvent and plasticiser free.
- COVERAGE - A minimum dried coating thickness of 0.6mm is necessary to provide a vapour barrier. For the final dried membrane thickness, a coverage rate of 1.20kg/m² is required (two coats). This corresponds to approximately 1 litre/m². It is recommended that the coats be applied at right angles to each other.Â
- APPLICATION - Our damp proof paint can be applied using a brush or roller. The membrane should not be applied in wet conditions or where these conditions are likely to occur before the paint has dried. When not in use, paint should be stored in a sealed container between +5°C and +35°C and protected from frost and direct sunlight.

Respuesta: Never used on a wall, but if it sorts a concrete floor out, perhaps it would be okay on a wall. The only thing is coverage, my floor didn't look damp, it was only when heavy things were placed there and moved that you became aware of it. 'Extremely' damp may be more difficult, certainly take more coats. -

Respuesta: We don't recommend the use of a sprayer with this product. Being latex based, it is too thick. The preferred method of application is roller or brush. -

Can this be used on brickwork that has already been painted with conventional smooth masonry paint?
Respuesta: No reason why not, but it depends on the damp situation. This paint will only be as good as the bond of your masonry paint to the wall and this is most likely to fail if you have a serious or persistent damp problem. Would recommend stripping back to the substrate to do a proper job. -

Can you paint this over terracotta tiles, then put a levelling compound on top?
Respuesta: As long as the surface to be treated is clean, sound and free from dust, loose material or standing water, you can apply damp proof paint to terracotta tiles. You can then apply levelling compound or any other treatment you wish directly on top of it.
