    Respuesta: This meter can measure moisture in paper, but you will have to stack the paper, and the pins will poke holes in the paper during measurement. You may have better results with a pinless moisture meter like the MO280.

    Respuesta: The MO53 is able to detect moisture at 0.8''. For the application you mention, I believe you can be interested in a different meter. From FLIR, we can suggest the MR176 using the MR12 ball probe. That will help you to get almost 4'' depth in the material.

    Respuesta: No. It will read the moisture on the Durock as it will be reading adsorbed moisture versus absorbed moisture. Durock will, however, have a wicking effect to moisture behind it and will hold it until RH% goes down. If this is a basement/crawlspace, check from underneath with a probe style for moisture content in the wood.
  • Pregunta: Will this fit extech mo50?

    Respuesta: I do not believe so. There is no documentation from Extech as to which pins to use for the MO50, but these appear to be physically different.
