DVD Editorial Review
Intimacy; The 2001 French erotic drama "Intimacy," directed by Patrice Chéreau, showcases a gripping tale of a woman's extramarital affair. With Kerry Fox delivering a stunning performance as a married woman caught in passion with Mark Rylance's character, this film is renowned for its bold approach to sexuality. The Kino Lorber blu-ray release offers an uncut version of the film, featuring a 4K scan that enhances the visuals significantly, making it a standout in terms of cinematography. While the graphic sex scenes sparked controversy, many fans praised their authenticity and relevance to the storyline. For those comfortable with explicit content, this film is a captivating exploration of longing and anonymity.
