The Justice League of America: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1 is a wonderful collection of early JLA stories, with great storytelling and artwork. The comics are classic Silver Age fun. The printing quality is excellent, and the book is of good quality. The stories are excessively structured, but this was common in comics of that era. The JLA and Legion of Superheroes are compared, with the latter preferred due to its more free structure. The stories often had information about animals and places, suitable for children aged 7-10, even though the weird stories were aimed at pre-teens. The penciller did a good job of drawing different-looking characters, with not all of them being muscle-bound, and the Wonder Woman in the collection was flat-chested. Superman and Batman were not always active, but preteen readers could identify with the teen characters like Snapper Carr.
