The Curiosity Development Board has received excellent reviews for quality. It may not be suitable for beginners but those familiar with the PIC line will find it user-friendly. Although there are limited built-in switches and LEDs, it is great for those wanting to bring their own peripherals. The included PIC16F1619 microcontroller has 28KB program space configurable logic, PWM, NCO, DSM making it a universal signal generator. The free downloadable MPLAB X IDE provides an excellent project-based platform for managing the development process and it is a great resource for learning how to program PIC18F/L chips. The board is limited for casual researchers but ideal for those developing new embedded systems. Overall, it is a solid product and a great way forward in electronics.
