The isolator is designed to isolate batteries when the input voltage from the front battery drops below 12.7V, but it does come with a manual override button if you need to connect both batteries momentarily. Repairing any fault or issue with the second battery or load side battery cable is essential to the proper functioning of this isolator. It is important to note that this isolator only charges the auxiliary battery and will not start the vehicle on its own.
