Dorman Throttle Position Editorial Review
The Dorman 977-035 Throttle Position Sensor is a popular option for those looking for a more affordable alternative to the OEM Toyota TPS. However, several reviews suggest that the product is prone to water infiltration and may fail prematurely. Some customers have received defective units, which may have been returned and resold as new by retailers. One positive review noted that the Doorman TPS solved idling and off-idle stumbling, while another said that it took care of an engine code and that the truck is now running smoothly. The product was also praised for being an exact fit and coming with new screws. Overall, the Doorman 977-035 Throttle Position Sensor is a mixed bag. While it is more affordable than the OEM Toyota TPS, customers should be aware of the potential for water infiltration and that defective units may be sold as new.
