shout! factory Editorial Review
**** "Dark Angel," also known as "I Come in Peace," has found a delightful niche among fans of cult classic B-movies, and the recent Blu-ray release brings this cherished flick back into the limelight. Critics and viewers alike have praised Matthias Hues for his memorable performance, marking it as one of his scariest roles to date. The film is described as a fun, action-oriented popcorn flick, filled with explosive sequences and a light-hearted plot that marries the chaotic worlds of drug dealers and space cops. Viewers recall their excitement from the original theatrical release, reminiscing about the explosive action that defines the film. The camaraderie between the rogue cop and his by-the-book sidekick adds an engaging dynamic, creating moments of both tension and humor. While some may find the narrative simplistic, the charm lies in its over-the-top action and entertaining escapades. Many reviewers have stated that it serves perfectly as an entertaining escape, making it an ideal choice when you're in the mood for sheer fun without taking things too seriously. Overall, "Dark Angel" stands as a testament to the allure of B-movie charm, fulfilling its role as an entertaining spectacle rather than a cinematic masterpiece. The Blu-ray release has further solidified its place in the hearts of fans who appreciate its unique blend of action and absurdity. **
