The Hurst 5388022 Shifter Stick is reviewed positively by customers who have used it with different car models, including the '68 Camaro with a Muncie transmission and Hurst shifter linkage, 71 Chevelle, Ford Ranger, and early Mustangs with Tremec transmission swaps. They appreciate the perfect fit, great quality, and ease of installation. However, it is mentioned that the stick is a bit pricey, and some reviewers did not like the shift knob size. The stick length is 7.5 inches from the center of the mounting holes to the end of the threads for the shift ball, and it has a one-inch bend towards the driver's side above the serrated part. Reviewers note that the stick places the shifter knob closer to the driver, making it taller and angled more aftward than the OEM shifter and the stick that comes with the Hurst shifter kit. The stick may also cause problems if there is anything mounted between the shifter and the dash. However, some reviewers found it a bit too tall, which puts the throw about the same as the OEM shifter. One reviewer would use this stick for Explorers with a 2" - 3" body lift kit.
