The Mastech MS8268 Digital Multimeter is a powerful digital AC/DC Auto/Manual-ranging multimeter capable of performing various electrical tests effectively. One of the standout features of this multimeter is its effective capacity tester which can be used to test a wide range of electrical devices such as vehicle data cables, computer system boards, and power supplies. The multimeter also has a max/min function for measuring peak values, although there is no long-term memory storage for recorded measurements. Additionally, it has a frequency counter up to 200KHz, which is useful for measuring PWM output duty cycle and trigger sensitivity. The meter also comes with an adapter for diodes and thermocouples, although the thermocouple sockets are useless with this multimeter. However, with the MS8217 Mastech multimeter, users can read temperatures. The input impedance of this meter is 10 megohms. Although the audible continuity function is not very loud in a shop environment, it works fine in a quiet area. The meter leads are approximately 38 inches including the 6-inch probes.
