It is a two-part system made in China with a metal base and a non-stick, lightweight metal cooking pot. The rice cooker requires 110-120 volts and uses the ‘keep warm’ function as a default setting. It comes with a measuring cup and a spoon. According to the Q&A, to yield 6 cups of cooked rice, one should add 2 3/4 cups of uncooked rice to the pot. This cooker can be used for wild rice, but it needs a 3 to 1 water to rice ratio, and it requires over 50 minutes of cook time. A replacement measuring cup and any other Salton part can be ordered by contacting the Salton service department. The product reviews are mixed.
